The Return of Maak n’ Plan S3

After a long year break since the last episode of season 2, everyones favourite podcast, Maak 'n Plan is officially back with a bang.

Introducing Season 3

To begin this new season on a high, whom better to grace the storytelling chair than the man of many talents, the flair behind the show, Bathandwa “Gorgeous Bushmen” Ngwendu in conversation with a lady of style, a friend to creatives Tiisesto Molobi, founder of Urban Mosadi. The two share a heartwarming conversation about Bathandwa’s upbringing, his devotion for Joburg and what it means to wear your heart on your sleeve.

The Break Between Seasons

As a big part of Bathandwa’s passion, Maak ‘n Plan has served as a medium for creative expression, sharing heart warming conversations with friends. The break between the last season and this new episode was both an opportunity for growth and realigning with what matters most for Bathandwa as he passionately shares on his caption on instagram

I couldn’t explain how purposeless my life feels without Maak ‘n Plan. It’s been exactly a year since the last season, and it wouldn’t have made sense to start the new season without giving you a piece of my heart."

Growing Up In The Culture-Rich Neighborhoods Of Cape Town & Moving To Jo’Burg

We wont go in-depth as to what was said on the conversation but what we can promise you is, it is a true South African story filled with diversity of cultures, authenticity, and most importantly with freedom of expression. 

In the conversation Bathandwa shares his background of being raised in Khayelitsha then later moving to Kraaifontein with his librarian mother. He further points out the importance of having a mother that introduced him to literature potentially igniting the passion for storytelling, as well as the cultural influences of the time and people he grew up around highlighting the famous Cape Town “iSpeedans” also known in Jozi and Gauteng as “iZikhothane”. The conversation is filled with a wealth of information, references that can help anyone reading translate their passion into a fulfilling career just as Bathandwa has done for himself.
